Is the Boston Explorer Pass appropriate for children?

Yes, most of the attractions and activities are family-friendly. Please note that child passes are available for children ages 3 to 12 years old. If you have children under 3 years old, please check with each individual attraction or activity to see if infants are accepted or need to pay an entrance fee.

Is transportation included?

No, the Boston pass does not include transportation. However, some attractions do take you around the city to popular attractions, such as the CityView Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour.

The Boston Explorer Pass includes admission to the city's top attractions and activities for the number of choices purchased. You'll also get a free digital guide packed with handy information, including a digital map. The pass also provides skip-the-line access to select attractions and special pass offers, too, that may include early-bird entry, gift shop discounts, dining offers, and more!

How does the Explorer pass work?

With the Explorer Pass, you can choose the number of attractions you're interested in seeing, either 2, 3, 4 or 5. Download the app and follow the instructions in your confirmation email to sync your pass to the app. Once you've activated your pass by visiting your first attraction, you'll then have up to 60 days to visit the rest. There is no need to choose which attractions you'd like to see before you purchase the pass, you can pick and choose as you go.

When will my pass expire?

You will have 60 days from first use to visit your remaining attractions. Non-activated passes are valid for two years from date of purchase.

Can I visit the same attraction more than once?

No, you can only visit each attraction once.

Can other people use my pass?

No, the passes cannot be resold or used by more than one person.

Do I need to make reservations to enter attractions?

Some attractions may require a reservation. You can find out which ones need to be booked in advance by checking the app before you go. If you need to make a booking to visit an attraction, your pass must be valid on the day that you visit.
