Description

Carowinds delivers nonstop excitement on the North Carolina–South Carolina border over 60 rides and attractions, including 14 world-class roller coasters. As the region's premier amusement park, Carowinds is home to Fury 325—the tallest and fastest giga coaster in the world—alongside standout coasters like Afterburn and Copperhead Strike. Themed areas like the newly introduced Aeronautica Landing offer immersive experiences for thrill-seekers and families alike.

Aeronautica Landing, inspired by the Carolinas’ rich aviation history, features six rides—including five all-new attractions—and two dining options in a dynamic, aviation-themed environment. Young families can head to Camp Snoopy, home to 13 child-friendly rides and Beagle Scout Acres, an expansive 8,000-square-foot play area. Starting in 2025, Camp Snoopy will debut two exciting new attractions: Snoopy’s Racing Railway and Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast.

Included with admission, Carolina Harbor Waterpark spans 26 acres and blends water thrills with coastal Carolinas charm. With 33 water slides, two wave pools, a three-acre kids’ area, and private cabanas, it’s a top destination for cooling off and relaxing between coasters.

Carowinds also hosts seasonal events throughout the year. SCarowinds returns each fall with haunted mazes, scare zones, and eerie entertainment, while WinterFest transforms the park into a holiday wonderland filled with light displays, festive shows, family activities, and seasonal treats.

From high-speed coasters to kid-friendly zones and year-round special events, Carowinds offers something for everyone—and firmly stands as one of the top places to visit in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
