A unique experience for guests of all ages, the Extended Met: Metropolitan Museum of Art in 3 Hours offers a chance for visitors to get an in-depth look at more than 5,000 years of art from five different continents on a 3-hour guided tour. Guests can enjoy viewing works from Van Gogh, Picasso and more, as well as exploring the Met’s exclusive rooftop terrace (from May through October).

Does the tour include tickets to the Met?
Yes. Guests receive prearranged tickets to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
How long is the tour?
The guided tour runs 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Can we ask questions about the art during the tour?
Absolutely.
How many people are on a single tour?
We cap our tours at 15 people to ensure that guests have the ability to ask questions, thoroughly experience the art, and have a great time at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Will we get to go to the Rooftop Garden?
If your tour is scheduled between May and October, your tour will include the Rooftop Garden (weather permitting).
When should I arrive for my tour?
We ask that guests arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.
Can I take pictures inside of the museum?
No flash photography or video is allowed inside the museum. Selfie sticks are strictly prohibited. Non-flash photography is allowed.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
Yes. There is a ground level entrance to the museum near the intersection of 81st street and 5th avenue. Inform the desk you need to use the elevator to meet a tour group in the main lobby (at the pharaoh statue), which will then secure your entrance ticket. They will provide you with a temporary pass and help direct you upstairs.
