Built in 1891 to look like a hotel, Old Jail St Augustine once held some of the city’s most hardened criminals. Today, visitors of all ages can experience what its prisoners’ lives were like under the penal system decades ago. Explore the cells, hear tales its infamous occupants by costumed actors, even get booked and try to escape on this historical tour.

It's open from 9:00AM - 5:30PM everyday. Tours are held daily with the last tour leaving at 4:30PM unless stated otherwise due to holiday operating hours.
Guided tours last approximately 30 minutes, and depart every 20 minutes beginning at 9 am.
Yes, the first floor and the outside perimeter are wheelchair and stroller accessible. The close confines and historic features limits wheelchair mobility.
