This Carlsbad Village food and wine tasting tour is considered one of Carlsbad’s classic foodie experiences. This three-hour guided food and walking tour shows off the various distinctive dishes and wine flavors that Carlsbad has to offer. The tour takes place in scenic Carlsbad, “The Village by the Sea," a seaside gem where you get the opportunity to see the beautiful ocean while learning about Carlsbad's history, culture, and architecture.

Enjoy unique and specially selected food tastings served from locally owned and operated specialty food shops and ethnic or local eateries.

Stops include one of Carlsbad’s most romantic restaurants. Sample tasty desserts from local eateries that have been made from recipes passed on from generation to generation. Award-winning wines that are grown in California will be a delight for your taste buds. You will also have access to a popular Tasting Guide, which features valuable maps, exclusive guest coupons, and discounts.

  • Ciccotti’s also has great Italian cuisine. Our tasting here will be pasta or gnocchi and cannolis.
  • Gregorio’s specialty items include eggplant and meatball sliders.

  • The Goods - Our tasting will be either Mom’s homemade cinnamon rolls or Artisan Donuts.

Wine Tasting
  • Witch Creek Winery has honed the focus of its winery on producing a wide variety of outstanding, award-winning red wines. We will be tasting a sparkling wine, red & dessert wine.

Dessert
  • Gelato Love prepares gelato in small batches every day, using only our authentic Italian recipes. Our tasting will be a flight of gelato with four unique tastings.
  • Carlsbad Chocolate Bar offers an extensive variety of chocolates, full coffee and espresso bars, and retail wines, ports, and champagne. the best tasting will be sea salt chocolates.

  • Lola’s authentic Mexican food in the village. The tasting will be Lola’s famous bean & cheese burritos.
