The show is approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes long with a 15-minute intermission.
Can I bring my camera to the theater?
Absolutely no photography or video is allowed into the theater.
Is the Gershwin Theatre handicap accessible?
Yes. We offer wheelchair seats in the orchestra and mezzanine sections of the theater. In addition, we offer handicap accessible bathrooms. Our theater attendants would be happy to escort you to your designated seats via elevators or escalators.
When should I arrive for my show?
The theater doors open 45 minutes before the show. It is recommended that audiences arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show beginning to find their seats, browse the available show merchandise, and settle in before showtime.
Is this show appropriate for children?
Yes. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted into the theater. Please keep in mind that Wicked is recommended for ages 8 and up due to the dark and potentially frightening themes throughout the show.
Are concessions available for purchase within the theater?
Yes. Soft drinks, water, cocktails, candy, and show merchandise (no food) are available for purchase at the Gershwin Theatre. No food is allowed into the theater.
What is the seating procedure for latecomers?
The seating procedure for latecomers varies by seat section. Generally speaking, late patrons who are seated in the orchestra may be held in the lobby until approximately twenty minutes after the performance begins. They are then escorted directly to their seats by an usher.
Is there security personnel at the theatre?
For the protection of all patrons, theater managers, and private security personnel are on duty during all performances. All bags are inspected upon arrival. Luggage, shopping bags and other large packages that will not fit comfortably with you at your seat will not be checked or allowed inside the theatre.
