Is parking free at Zoo Atlanta?

Zoo Atlanta parking is conveniently located in the lot on Cherokee Avenue and in the Grant Park Gateway parking facility on Boulevard. Both are city-owned paid public lots managed by AAA Parking. Rates are $3 an hour, or a maximum of $12 for a day.

The electric wheelchairs are limited in number and available for rental on a first-come, first-served basis. - Manual wheelchair: $14 + tax/day - Electric cart: $33 + tax/day. *Minimum age to rent an electric wheelchair is 18. No age restriction for manual wheelchair rentals. A driver’s license will be retained as a deposit. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Are strollers available for rent?

Yes, stroller rentals are available at Safari Outfitters at the following rates: - Single stroller: $11 + tax - Double stroller: $13 + tax Rates are subject to change without notice.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, there are plenty of photo opportunities.

Can you bring food into Zoo Atlanta?

Yes, Zoo Atlanta allows outside food and drinks. Please note that glass containers, alcohol, and straws are prohibited. Straws are not permitted for the safety of the animals.

Can I bring my pet?

Only service animals are allowed. Zoo Atlanta’s Service Animal Admittance Policy defines service animals as dogs or miniature horses who are trained to perform a specific task for an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals and other animals are not permitted on zoo grounds.

What items are prohibited to bring?

The list of prohibited items include: weapons or sharp objects, alcoholic beverages, glass containers, straws and lids, drones, fireworks or explosive substances, skateboards, bicycles, and non-motorized scooters. Other restrictions may apply.
